Nasty Flea Update

Just an update to our saga.  Jeff came home from Petco and Walmart loaded down with flea products - Advantage, a couple room foggers, a flea comb, and a new vacuum!  We applied the Advantage to the pets outside and made them bear the heat for an hour before letting them in.  I think Diesel almost lost his voice; the poor guy barked so much at the back door to be let in.  Great Danes DO NOT like the outdoors!

Another perk I learned about buying Advantage is that you only have to purchase 1 "55lb and over" box even if your dog's close to 3x the weight stated (Zoe's almost 150lbs).  Whenever we went camping in the past, we bought Frontline Plus and we'd have to buy 2 boxes with different weights to match up to Zoe's weight.  I love finding a deal!

Oh, and Jeff now thinks that Diesel might have brought home fleas from the dog park we went to last Friday.  Who would have thought a little bit of fun would have caused this nightmare!  We never even considered fleas at the park as we've never had them in the 11+ years we've lived here.
