Happy Birthday Zoe!

Our Great Dane, Zoe, turns 9 years old today! I'm so happy that she's made it this far. Our 1st Dane, Ryker, passed away at 7 yrs old after an 11 month fight with Osteosarcoma. While Zoe's hips are getting weaker and her incontinence is becoming more of an issue, she still has some spring and loves to chase Diesel (yes, our 3rd Dane) around the backyard, as well as remind strangers that they are not welcome at our front door un-invited.

I still remember rescuing Zoe at 9 months old thanks to my wonderful friend Silvia who told us about her. Zoe was quite a stinker then and gave us a fright when she decided after a couple days that she'd had enough of being separated from Ryker by a baby gate. Up and over the gate she went and snuggled right up with him. His life, and ours, was changed for the better from that day forward.

Happy Birthday my sweetie girl! We pray you'll share at least 1 more year with us...!
